The container shall be closed in accordance with the applicable specification and the appendix
thereto.
3.4.7 Intermediate packaging. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), unit packs either bagged or
wrapped shall be intermediate packaged in containers specified in table III for level A, in
quantities of 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 75, or 100, as specified (see 6.2). Gross weight and cube shall be
in accordance with applicable container specification.

3.4.7.1 Limitation of intermediate packages. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), unit packs
requiring intermediate packaging shall be packaged in containers governed by the following
except when the total quantity to be shipped will result in one intermediate container:
a. Maximum of 100 unit packs.
b. Maximum net load of 40 pounds (19.55 kg).
c. Maximum size of 1.5 cubic feet (24.02 kilogram per cubic metre (kg/m3)) with not less
than each of two dimensions not greater than 16 inches (406.40 millimetre (mm)).
3.5 Packing. Packing shall be for levels A or B (with provisions for minimal packing) (see 6.2).
