Stored bearings that have been preserved in lubricants or preservatives that have exceeded their rated shelf life
shall be tested for lubricant re-certification in accordance with MIL-STD-3004. Bearings with lubricants or
preservatives that cannot be re-certified shall be cleaned and re-lubricated, or re-preserved, as required.
